We are going to Europe! (Plus, a free travel checklist printable)

 

It's official. We are going to Europe!! We were planning on going next year, but it is much, much cheaper to book now at the end of the tourist season (go Expedia!). We will be leaving the end of October, spending a few days in Venice, embarking on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise, flying from Barcelona back to Venice, and then coming home. It will be a whirlwind two and half weeks... and I can't wait! The ports are Venice, Piraeus (Greece), Izmir (Turkey), Istanbul, Mykonos (Greece), Naples, Rome, Livorno (Italy), Toulon (France), and Barcelona. 

Since I will living out of a carry-on for over half a month, I need to carefully think through what I will pack. Here is the travel checklist I am using:










 

It'll be my first time in Europe. Do you have any traveling, packing, sightseeing tips? We will basically be doing a port a day so we need to be strategic in our planning. We specifically chose this type of trip so we can see as much as possible and will know in the future where we want to go back and spend more time. And, we can recharge on the cruise every night. :)

Weekend Trip: Seattle

This weekend we headed over to Seattle for JT's grandparents' golden anniversary. Before the festivities, we spent the day downtown Seattle. It was my first time going to Pike's Place! We went first thing in the morning, which I recommend. The air was still crisp, there weren't any crowds yet, and the vendors were still fresh for their day complete with smiles and samples.
