Hi Sarah!
I had so much fun doing your wardrobe consult. I loved that you wanted a preppy, Jcrew meets Anthro look. I did more pattern and color play to encompass that look. The total came to around $400, with a few options to splurge or save on a few pieces. It did not include shoes, but I still suggested a few! Let me know if you have any questions or want to swap something out! Also, feel free to swap out a color- I just picked what I was drawn to, but pink pants might not be your favorite so just pick another!
Gap Printed Dress // ASOS Bonjour sweater in cream // Gap dot-printed pants // Jcrew Boy Shirt in Neon Pink // Jcrew Minnie pants in wild petunia // Gap Easy Chambray Shirt // Gap Deconstructed Skinny Jeans // necklace
All of these items come in your size. Gap is running a 30% off your total purchase right now and I included that discount when budgeting (I think today might be the last day, so hurry and order!). The Jcrew Minnie pant is amazing for slimming. It is a very slim fitting pant but really does visually slim you. Plus, I think it is the most comfortable pant! You can do anything in it. The light pink shade (wild petunia) is full-price which puts us a little over budget. There is a red shade on sale for only $70 in your size if you'd prefer that color or price range. See here. Or, here is a budget friendly option for a skinny pant from Old Navy for only $35 (plus an extra 30% for today). See here. Personally, I'd go with the Minnie pant, but it is up to you!
Also, I choose a skinny jean to update your look and show off your size 0/2 body. This is distressed look which some people love, but here is another non-distressed look if that is better for work. See here for a dark wash and here for a dark wash with a little fading. Any of the jeans are great options! It's completely up to you!
Also, use code "happy" when ordering that necklace to get 50% off your entire purchase from Cheerfully Charmed!
You can wear this dress by itself, with either of the two button downs underneath (preppy pattern play!) or with the bonjour sweater over it. Don't you love that statement necklace?!
I love the little dots on this tailored pant. They are small enough that the pant is still a neutral and can be paired with lots of pieces! What do you think of the pattern play between the checks and dots? It is very Jcrew meets Anthro!
Here is that Minnie pant paired with your tops! I love the little pink with the pink button down.
Here is the jean paired with the tops. The other jean options I gave you would great as well.
Here are some more options: the flame red Minnie pant that is on sale, another whimsical sweater from Jcrew (you could swap the Bonjour sweater out for this one if you'd like- it wouldn't go over the leopard dress though), and the budget friendly Old Navy pink pant.
And finally some options that weren't included in your budget: (These are just concepts- you can shop for these styles anywhere. I went with the budget friendly options.)
Ankle boots // tall caramel boots // bright or patterned flats
There you go Sarah! Comfortable outfits that easily transition from work to mommy-time all while maintaing a fresh, modern, preppy look! Let me know if you have any questions! Remember, to order those pieces from Gap today if you'd like to save 30%.
